Rock Garden
The Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a unique and famous sculpture garden located in Chandigarh, India. It is also known as Nek Chand’s Rock Garden, named after its founder, Nek Chand Saini. The Rock Garden is a sprawling outdoor space that spans about 40 acres and is entirely made from industrial and home waste.
Sukhna Lake
Sukhna Lake is a prominent artificial reservoir located in the foothills of the Himalayas in the city of Chandigarh, India.
Boating is a major attraction at Sukhna Lake. Visitors can enjoy paddle boating, rowing, and even take boat rides to explore the lake. The tranquility of the lake and the surrounding greenery make it a peaceful and enjoyable experience.
Chandigarh Bird Park
The Chandigarh Bird Park have provided ample space for each & every bird with 58 feet flying height with total ground area approx. 200×150 feet each for terrestrial birds and aquatic birds.
The structure is designed in a way that it surrounds thousands of plants of varying canopies, which gives an ideal habitat, food and shelter for these birds so that they can freely fly and breed. It is believed that this structure would be the tallest structure of the country in Aviary domain.
Rose Garden
It’s named after India’s former President, Zakir Hussain. Thisbeautiful garden was set up in 1967.
The park is spread over 10 acres and exhibits some of rarest and exquisite varieties of rose and is home to 1600 varieties of flowers.
It serves as a venue for hosting an annual festival called festival of gardens, a major cultural event during Feb or March.
Chart Bir Zoo
This makes it the biggest zoological park in north-western India and home to over 1,000 animal and bird species. The zoo also houses a significant number of primates, big cats and several varieties of deer and antelope. Visitors can spot animals like zebra, hippopotamus and crocodiles as well.
